I almost added that, but from me its a broken record, so glad you did. I was glad to see Professor Gupta back on the box yesterday, she has been hammered by the anointed as pointed out on this site https://www.diabetes.co.uk/news/202...-immunity-covid-19-approach-as-unethical.html.And of course attempt to get more metabolically healthy for all ages.
Not at the moment it isn't.. everything else is being cancelled... hadn't you noticed.
And in 2018 what did the NHS do?
Where are the Nightingales that were created at enormous expense?
The Nightingales are there, fully equipped. However, they need staff. The staff have to be taken from hospitals, leaving shortages in hospitals and elsewhere, which leads to cancellation of other medical procedures.
The Dean of the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine, Dr. Pittard, said so during an interview last night. I saw no reason to doubt her.
Did you read that before you posted it? It's in use for radiology outpatients so it's not being staffed by skilled ICU specialists.
Exactly Nightingales are not sitting there waiting to be used..
Excel I believe has been decommissioned as a hospital.
What do you mean "exactly". Talk about moving goalposts.
There are not enough ICU staff for effective Covid management, there never were.

I was responding to @Bluetit1802 statement that
"The Nightingales are there, fully equipped"
I said they weren't and then posted supporting evidence.
As for nurses there are 180,000 approx in the NHS and so far just under 11,000 patients in hospital with COVID,
Of those less than 1,000 are in ICU.
At the moment there is no evidence of either inundation or failure to cope.
Hi guys. don't mind me.. just trying to chop some sense into the debate? I won't quote out of context, however i will bold.

The Nightingale hospitals were all officially opened in April or May and had all been placed on standby or repurposed by July.

Bar "exel" that has dropped off the map back in May? @bulkbiker with reference to the first quote in red, purley to ID it in my comment.
Just to clarify, are you saying these "Nightingales" don't exist?
Or that the Nightingales do, but with inadequate staffing??
Excel is reopened for exhibitions so that certainly is no longer there. As for the others I have no idea... the metro article that says they have been re-purposed was the one I quoted too. If they have been re-purposed then they aren't there for the purpose they were commissioned for?
