My husband and I, and our soon to be three year old son (diagnosed T1 August 2010) are starting a creative space for parents, carers and children with diabetes. Our hope ia that this will be a place where we can meet, share experiences and support and engage in creative activities together. Wth shared strength, stories and support, we can help each other and ur children.
It will be held regularly, near Penrith/Carlisle. We are hoping to start in the New Year 2011 and maybe try to get folks together for a family festive gathering beforehand. Obviously, our experience is as parents of a newly diagnosed toddler, but we invite all! If you are in the area, or would like to pass this info on to others you know in the area, please do.
