Has anyone got a very easy curry sauce recipe ?

If you have a look on the same forum you should find what your looking for.

If your lazy like me, sometimes!!

There are some curry sauces on the shelves that are under 10g per 100g of carbs. Try pattaks!

Thanks so much - curry now a possible addition to my repotoire which is minimal at the moment, just wondering now can i roast celeriac - i shall look at Pataks thanks for the tip. Onwards and upwards Thanks again. zz

Have just had a curry, home made.
I used Pataks Korma paste. This jar is a 290g size. Carbs 14.6 per 100g.
I didn't use the hole jar, if you used a hotter paste you would use less paste.

I made my version of a veggie curry.
1. Red onion.
1 courgette
Some not sure how much, celeriac
1 large celery stick
Half a red pepper.
Chopped it up into small pieces, fryed in a little oil, when it looked like it may burn, instead of adding more oil, I then added a little water and the curry paste.
Plus a sacket of coconut cream.
Cooked until soft ish, to your own taste.

If too hot, a large spoonful of yoghurt cools it down.

I also tried to make the cauliflower bhajee.
Not sure if I made it correct.

I love making my own blends ....and adding coconut milk to some

If I use the dry spices, I find I can never make it the same next time, or it's far too hot.
I never weigh or messure things when cooking.
I tell a lie, I made a parkin / ginger cake for my son the other week, it sank!! That was a first ever.
Son laughed, he said, so why start weighing thing now. He said it tasted good all the same.

If you like malaysian style curry, you might like what I tried the other week. I browned some stewing beef in a wok and then stirred in half a jar of ASDA red curry paste and a tin of coconut milk. Left to simmer on a low heat for 3 hours, stirring occasionally. Just before serving I stirred in a dollop of peanut butter. It was so nice, served with cauli rice, a bit like beef rendang. Didn't really follow a recipe so bet I'll not be able to make it that next time!

I live in Malaysia and, after having great difficulty in getting the mix 'just right' turned to a Malaysian friend for help. Her (priceless) reply was something I took to heart. What was it? She said, "I'll tell you the secret every Malaysian housewife knows " (Excitement mounting) "We get it from a packet!"
I tried; It's easier, cheaper and much more consistent.

The simplest way to make healthy curry is to first of all chop some onions, garlic and ginger, sauté them in some oil and add some store bought curry power. Put in whatever meat or vegetables you like and stir for few minutes and add Greek yoghurt or coconut milk. It only take a few minutes to cook. Of course meat takes longer than vegetables to cook. Have fun making your own curries. You can also mix your own curry powder using coriander, cumin, chili powder, turmeric, and Marsala powder.

Thankyou for your replys but I would of thought coconut milk would be high in carbs/sugar ,...maybe I'm wrong (surprised) also cause it's my birthday my niece (bless her) has made me a low carb birthday cake (looking forward to that
)

Just one more question which are the best nuts and seeds to get ???

Brazil nuts are lowest carbs. Macadamia height fats, walnuts good ballrooms for helping lower BG.
