Much as I’m not a fan of the Daily Fail, the more low carbing gets into the public domain, hopefully more people will adopt it, and then food manufacturers might produce more low carb affordable alternatives

They already do.. bacon and eggs..
Personally I hope that food manufacturers (even writing that makes it sound bad) never catch on to Low Carb. I have used it as reason to not eat highly processed food any more (and I don't count bacon as processed). If they catch on they'll just start using the cheapest nastiest ingredients they can.

Aye, let's get back to real food. The laws of economics says it all, really, cheap ingredients > high prices > bigger profits. You never find millionaire broccoli growers.
