Damm Itch!!

Last week on Thursday for the first time I started itching on my upper chest/back and scalp. When I scratch it leaves raised wheals and tiny pin head size blisters. Can I assume this is caused by blood sugar levels and if so what can be done? I am type 2 diagnosed Nov 2015.
 
I wouldn't assume it's caused by high sugars @Duncan57 Give your surgery a call, explain your symptoms and get it looked at so you can get a diagnosis - and some relief hopefully.
 
If I were you I'd see the GP as has been mentioned. It seems that a lot of people with diabetes have ailments and for some reason we think it can be attributed to this disease, I've done it myself. But I think we need to be open minded about our problems and consider them as separate issues and get them looked at properly, or we run the risk of missing something which could prove to be more serious. Then again we could find out that whatever it is can easily be treated and we've been worrying or suffering unnecessarily for
