i have joined david lloyds health club to excercise and swim, i have to say (unless its all a con) the menu in the restaurant is amazing, they set out the carbs, fat and protein next to each dish, i have a "no-carb" burger last night, it had large mushrooms and tomato slices, it was yummylicious and said it was only 11g carb.

Sounds good. What was used instead of the bap?

Edit: predictive text called the "bap", "baptism"!

Andy - can you visit the restaurant if you are not a member? I dream of restaurants that lay out their nutritional info like that (and that burger sounds really nice!)

Type 2 on Metformin, diagnosed Jan 2013, ultra low carber, Hba1C at diagnosis 8% (64), average BS now between 5 and 6 mmol.

im not sure but i will find out, if not you can borrow my card and sneak in :)

When I have burger and chips at home I use two large mushrooms as the bun for the burger it looks good and tastes nice too providing that you like mushrooms of course

I had to laugh at the "no-carb burger" with 11g of carbs though that must have been an awful big plateful of tomatos

there was a small pot of salsa which was yummy, i assume that had the carbs, im not sure but 11g sounds good so in i went :P

Yes, probably was the salsa, I was quite surprised when I saw how many carbs some brands of salsa had. I'm guessing maybe mushrooms have a couple as well? Still, 11g for a main meal is good, and you're obviously doing brilliantly on it :)
