My blood glucose levels are now (for me anyway) quite a bit higher than when I was first diagnosed in 2019. The BG very often creeps right up to 10 or over through the night, and in the mornings can often take a long time to bring down. I take 3 levemir and 1 novorapid on waking up, and then often take another novorapid about an hour later. Otherwise the level stays high till late morning. What is going on! BG is more difficult to manage these days. I do get insomnia pretty badly so that sometimes I do not sleep at all. I am thinking it is probably cortisol/adrenaline competing with the insulin?
