I've seen this stuff, "Decarb carb blocker", a few times, apparently it's pills you take to stop carbs working. It's made by shape smart. Have any of you tried it? Does it work? Can I pop a pill and eat a bounty bar? Or am i dreaming again!
What is this stuff?
Thanks in advance for any feedback

First: If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Second: I have rarely heard or read about things like this that don't bring, how shall I put it, intestinal issues.

But as Patch says - you can always experiment.

Am I the only one that thinks that all this talk of eating chocolate bars wrapped in prophylactics is not appropriate for this forum?

Many of the diabetics that come to this forum are afraid and confused. It is very dangerous to give them the impression

yours angrily

I see your point Stephen - but they would have to be pretty confused to think that would work! but this is a family site so for that it's not appropriate imho- this thread below worries me more -

viewtopic.php?f=25&t=23437

for us experienced diabetics we know it is tongue in cheek and none of the posters are intending drink loads and eat bad (least I don't think so :? )- but a person new to diabetes and this site may think drinking to keep you liver busy so you can eat what you want is a viable solution.

I know what you mean, and Sorry if we offended you lovinglife, but we have to have a bit of fun sometimes. Hopefully even a new diabetic would see this as it was meant. Mind you, you might find the below graph of my BG readings with/without alcohol interesting.

I Knew you were joking Stephen! I found it funny too - believe it or not I do have a sense of humour!- but there are kids read this site even if they don't post -

no apologies needed malc :) - not offended at all - I liked your graph :) - it has been mooted on here in the past about using alcohol to control BS - a couple of glasses to help a meal go down won't harm most people. I find when I drink with a meal I have great numbers afterwards - even sometimes hypo - but a couple of days later I often see a rise in my numbers for no other apparent reason - plus any more than 3 glasses of red wine has me ill for over 24hrs these days - and I could drink any man under the table in my distant mispent youth

Sorry if you think my posts were not suitable for new ones but I think that we should be able to post jokey things . DB is not a lot of fun and sometimes this sort of tongue in cheek posts surely will cheer newbies up. I dont really think anyone would really try a total alcohol diet.

A recent study found that the average Brit walks about 900 miles a year.
Another study found that British drink, on average, 22 gallons of alcohol a year.
That means that, on average, Brit gets about 41 miles to the gallon!

Note
My last Suggestion at least you could recycle the Bounty Bar

Just love it ....

Posting jokey things is fun but could we please watch what words are being used. Posts have been edited because of the words used.

As this a family forum we do not have an over 18 forum!!!!!

As moderator, I have removed a number of posts in this thread and will PM the authors shortly. If anyone has a problem with this, please PM me instead of posting.
