Definition of a hijacked thread?

We've just had a random 20 minute blizzard here :wideyed: Hopefully that was winter and it's finished now. Roll on spring!

lol oh dear, i feel your pain, stonemasons and bad backs go together like jelly and cream, wish you better mr bear :)

Are you alternating the ice pack with a hot water bottle very good for bad backs
CAROL

Not yet, been told icepacks for two days or until swelling goes then light exercise and warmth.

Pretty annoyed really, I had been training for about an hour and was warming up for deadlifts (i always end on deadlifts or rows), 132lb on the bar and i felt (and worse, heard) my back go "ping", dropped the bar and hobbled to the bench like a 90yr old. Wouldnt have minded if it was a bit heavier, i think my form was OK and it didn't feel particlarly heavy so not sure why it happened.

Ice has helped a lot but still a bit of a twinge. Tomorrow morning when I wake up I will find out how bad it is.

There, now thats what I call a proper hijacking :-)

Nope... You aren't brandishing a gun, taken any hostages or demanded transport to a neutral country! ;). Hope your back gets better soon :)

Thanks Carty. This isn't actually the first time its happened, my back and I have had a long and interesting relationship with injuries over the years, something to do with falling off things usually.

Oh but Andy, to be grumpy when you are old old is the sworn duty of every grumpy everywhere. You can suck soup with relish and make a slurpy noise doing it. you can pee in bed and shout things like "What, didn't hear that, batteries are running low". You can be demanding and lose your teeth, glasses, walking stick and anything else that will cause the youngsters to waste time before they find you are sitting on them. You can do all this because you are old old and they will grumble and curse and blame it on your age but really you will know it's revenge for all the **** blasted inconvenience they put YOU through when you were young young :D
