Deliciousness, in 5g portions

We all have individual reactions to foods, and need to bear that in mind whenever eating new foods (also meter variance and portion size).

These rolls are not bread in the traditional sense. If you look up the ingredients you will see they are basically wheat protein and soya flour.

From the perspective of a diet controlled T2:
I would try another roll and see if the results repeat.
If so, drop down to a half roll and see if you tolerate that.
Luckily, despite being grain intolerant, i tolerate a whole roll very well.

i am not on insulin, so can't really comment on dosing, except that i have seen many T1s comments where they bolus for protein when they move to a lc diet.
Thank you for this reply. I will try again tomorrow and count for the protein. I've recently started to eat lower carbs so am just getting used to counting protein too!

My reaction to these triangular things has reduced, since my first foray.

Recently their affect on my BG has been negligible.

500 g of pork scratching's with Cornish sea salt ( can't remember the brand but very nice 1 g of carbs per 100 g , loads of protein and fat though)

1/2 bar Sainsb. 85% chocolate topped with 1 scant Tbs almond butter, sprinkled with cinnamon and, dare I say it, a couple of flakes of sea salt! Yum! :)

On a less serious note - 7 oz of Roquefort cheese, under 5 carbs yet 700 cals (plus any butter you'd need...) ;)
