To be honest - I'm just getting a little sick from all this ****.
I have D for 12 years now. had DKA for the first time a month ago. i already suffer from nerve problems.

also - Fibromalgia, Cfs, IBS, Some hearing loss and generally annoyed.
I still think i might have MS. Bad headaches, throwing up, dizziness and more. what "fun". :-\

this just sucks. just don't have energy for this illness anymore. like - I don't have the time for it once you get fibro.
Why don't i remember to take my shots? Fibrofog.
why don't I check my sugar enough? because when you're laying on the nice cold bathroom floor (after throwing up) you honestly don't give a ****,

Maybe one just need to let nature do it's thing? :-\ obisbly no matter what I do - My body is trying to kill itself.

Hey. This is all sounds rough, and I'm sorry you're going through all of the complications that you are... but there are ways to make this work! Firstly, you should see a doctor and get the official diagnosis if you truly believe you have the MS. Secondly, the energy thing...though I understand that, recognize that you CAN prevent this from getting worse, that power you possess, so use it! And the issues remembering: maybe you need to carry around a journal where you mark down every time you take a shot, and check your sugar. If you have an iPhone, create a chart and mark it down every time AND set alerts for checking your sugar on the phone, lets say 3 times a day, and then it'll force you to check and write down. You've got this! Stay strong, keep up the fight

your subconscious is helping you hate diabetes by forgetting :)
some have found if you use your smart phone to set multi alarms for basic BG test and take basal shot/s..don't let your self worth hang on a BG meter..it's just a number to work with, there is no pass fail

Or set alarms on the actual meter! And then you have to find the meter to shut it up and then you can do the test which takes 2 seconds!! :)

Thank you. actually - right now i'm checking my BG like 8-10 times a day. especially when throwing up (check every hour or so and ketones as well....). I guess this is an interesting way to look at it. forgetting as a way of dealing. i'm pretty straight forward about the whole thing. when the doctors in the er talked to me (a month ago for 4 days for acidosis and last night after i though it might be coming back and thank god - it was not....). I'm honest. i hate the bloody thing and iv'e been in denial for 12 years.

Doctors focus on what they think. no one really looks at the bigger picture. and when it comes to fibromaylgia - they tend to stick to a "that's what there is". (sounds better in Hebrew....;-) ).

Having a history of An eating disorder, and SI - surly is not a good thing. I took care of that some where around 22. I decided to be happy and that I don't deserve anything ells. and - people tend to know me as an upbeat person. but the last 2 years have been very overwhelming for me. VERY. and since Fibro is that kind of thing that you can't forget (believe me - that would be nice....) - and the fact that you have to work and go to school - what ended up giving up is the diabetes. pretty stupid but that's what happen.

I've always been somewhat active but the fibro... well. it really changed that. and for me - that's always been the best way to manage depression tendsees. and it's worked. so far.

I think you have reached a turning point with your diabetes, you might have an emotional rollercoaster for a couple of weeks
I'll put up a batch of links for when you feel like a read, most here will suggest you start with a basal check

IBS and such is helped by LCHF diet https://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en-AU&q=fibromyalgia lchf&gbv=1&sa=X&as_q=&nfpr=&spell=1&ei=o5dbVLWCPaXFmAXcnYKICA&ved=0CBEQvwU

Had the same problems myself, sugars all over the show. Always sick, severe depression, retinopathy, high-blood pressure, high cholestral and neuropathy. Check your injection sites - change for new areas. Change insulin or pump type. Test blood sugars every hour for one day and then after results and any changes. See if any other medication you are taking may cause adverse blood sugar results, I've had to change so many of mine because of side effects etc. Always remember it takes time to get things right, so don't stress too much(like I used to). I have had diabetes 31 years and so long as you learn something helpful(useful), try to never berate yourself dude/dudette as you will sort everything out. All the best from cold(Baltic) Manchester ;)

Yeah I know what you mean with the doctors they would rather just send me away to counselling but it doesn't work...well not for me! they don't actually care do they?! And I understand you honestly I do!

People keep saying to me have I got fibro....I know I haven't it's just 2 slipped discs but yeah ya know!

Anyway if you like you can message me when ever :) x

I have to do that, use my smart phone. TBI means most of the time I don't remember to set the phone though :banghead: Does help though.
you should be able to set up multi alarms on 'repeat' on iphone to ring every day. at the times you want without resetting? all the smart phones seem to have this function? even my old 2g moto did

Fibro is ****.. I was diagnosed with it 5+ years ago but now its been undiagnosed! Along with other ailments with chronic depresssion at times, chronic slow colonic transit and pernicious anaemia...
Every single one undiagnosed...

Only things I've changed in diet....Vitamin d &vit k tablets and magnesium with berries and full fat cream, flax n chia seeds...and more fat.. Cheese..

The other thing was breaking through the pain barrier and getting my life back. Doing more and more each day both physically and mentally. Nowadays I don't stop from doing gardening as my job again, to upholstery to PPG to coffees with friends and that really was what turned my life around was determination to crack through and find things to really keep me occupied and enjoying myself everyday.

I also went with hubby to a counsellor who was so **** good that he shook us both up to be more appreciative of each other...so that really put true happiness back in our lives..moving back to a life of vibrant younger people around me rather than living in a village of retired oap's with not a hope of getting my gardening work that I'd given up etc...

I still get chronic pains in my legs only now and have spells when it completely flummox's me but I know I have to keep myself active and going to reduce those pains which gp's now say is restless legs, but now again I've stopped the meds given for that a month ago as being busy and not sitting down eliminates 80% of pain. I know I shouldn't sit down....

Our brains can be turned around... Finding things that you can do and enjoy is a significant part to taking away the thoughts that concentrate on pain...

I know I had chronic pains in the 18 fibromyalgia points, and felt **** but turning brain round and the vit d and pushing through to do things I enjoyed and loved significantly changed my health mentally and physically.

The reason is the weather for sure. When it's summertime you look  When it's wintertime you look :grumpy:

Try and get on a DAFNE course and take control back! It also helps to be with others who are going through same **** as yourself, it did for me as hadn't really spoke to another t1 in depth before. Know we are all fighting this on here with you and I have been where you are now on a few occasions the last 29 years! I know you can come through this!

I'm no expert at most of what you mention, but I know one thing :-
Diabetes can't be beaten - you can only live:-
With it
rather than as I had tried to do when I was younger:-
In spite of it.
One thing at a time though so Break the problems down , make a list then agree with yourself ok so I dealing with problem 1 today problem 2 tomorrow and soon you'll find that things will seem better.
Not sure if this helps but it is how I've managed to get out of fighting my body.
Like Homer Simpson said to his brain:-

Homer: "OK Brain, I know we don't get along, but let's just work together so I can get back to slowly killing you with beer."

Homer's Brain: "It's a deal!"

p.s. Don't act on this quote!
