Dexcom adhesive issue

I posted on this some months ago, but still need help. I am trying to get my G6 to stay on while I swim laps, and I am just not able to get it to stand up to more than about 2 miles in the pool. I am wanting to swim 10+ miles on a sensor I have tried Skintac a bunch of times. Someone advised me to apply the sensor with skintac then skintac an overlay patch on over that. I tried this, and it was no more success than the overlay patch normal. The overlay patch's start coming off real quick, and it basically became a wing catching the water and thus applying leverage to the factory adhesive. Every test I have done with all the patches I have last half a mile before the patches start to peel and the whole setup goes into failure mode

If someone could please help me figure out what I'm doing wrong I would be so appreciative! I would be totally open to wearing some big goofy looking cover that encloses the whole assembly if such a thing exists. I am just really starting to lose faith that I am going to figure this out.

Thankyou for your time...

Thankyou I will absolutely look at that. I can not piece together why I have so much trouble with this. I have tried 4 or 5 different patches with and without skitac, and it is truly more vulnerable to swimming laps than the factory adhesive alone. I'm about to give up if I can't make it work.

What about an Elasticated Armband? A quick google search did bring up a few options that I could see.

I used to use one for my libre as I’d always knock it off on my arms, worked a treat. You also could wear it just whilst swimming and then put a patch over it once you’re out of the pool.

I too was going to suggest wrapping something around your arm.
When I first had Libre, the rep recommended VetRap which is pretty good stretchy bandage that sticks to itself and can be reused.

I know that you can get Libre bands that have a 3d printed plastic overlay which holds the sensor in place attached to an elastic band. These are available from eBay. I wonder if you could get something similar for Dexcom

Nicola, is this what you mean by an elastic arm wrap?

I tried 1 that I had laying around yesterday, and the adhesive was compromised after half a mile. it was letting a fair amount of water in. I dried it after each lap but no go. It didn't fit real tight... do I just need to find 1 that fits better? If that's not the type of product you mean please post a link to what you were trying to describe.

I would love to be able to go back to wearing them on the side of my belly, but all of these solutions seem to be for arm wearing. If anyone has a belly solution that'd be great
