Dexcom G7 trial

The term "big boned" lol repeatedly told this growing up!
Has anyone tried the free trial as I am thinking of giving it a go. I could not get on with Freestyle Libre, it made my arms sore and erratic readings at the time.
 
I use a G7 .

I find it is slightly more reliable on my stomach but be aware it can take 24 hours to settle in so resist the urge to calibrate till the 24 hours are up. (Or so I've been told by dexcom support, though my most recent sensors have settled much more quickly).

I also use cavilon cream before I attach it to prevent an allergic reaction. (I had to stop using the original libre because I reacted badly to it and as a result it no longer gave accurate results.)

If the trial is free you have nothing to lose by trying it.

My free trial is supposed to come Monday
 
I got my Dexcom, but can't find a serial number. Is it on a printed label, as it looks like it 0n the site? If so it is missing

Are you talking about the number you need to input when you start the sensor? There should be a number next to a bar code on the applicator. You can also input it by scanning the barcode with your phone.
 
There are also multiple serial numbers on the cardboard box, which you need if the sensor stops working and you want dexcom to replace it.
 
I tried the Dexcom free trial and found it interesting. I don't think I really need it but found it useful to look at directions bs was moving in. It reinforced what I believed the effect of certain foods would be but surprised me about the delayed effect of exercise. It consistently read differently from my blood meter.
My reaction to it was interesting too. Whereas I think I am well controlled after 32 years with type 2 I found myself getting a bit paranoid about number checking. It wasn't good for me mentally.
Overall I was glad I'd had the chance to try one. Good luck.

I found it thanks. I rang them up. I had the wrong app version

I found it interesting. The results surprised me. The biggest spike in 3 days of using it, Kellogs Bran Flakes was the worst. It went up to 10.1. As a contrast, i had 7 bottles of Efes pilsner. I didn't go over 8.5, so was very surprised. I tried to get it to spike higher, but i gave up. From Greggs sausage rolls, rye bread with a small scrape of jam, noodles and basmati rice, nothing except the cereal has spiked over 10. I suppose, as it is bran, which i got to try to get more fiber, they have put lots of sugar in it.
