So I’m on the new Dexcom one + and also take apixaban blood thinners I was on .[emoji6]mg twice daily but told they needed to be upped due to blood clot next to my heart not decreasing in size but since upping them to [emoji6]mg (max dose) every time I replace my sensor it bleeds really badly anyone have the same issue and if you have what can I do to stop this I’ve asked chemist but they said they’re unsure thanks

needles, bloods sampling, infact most medical stuff which usually result in panic/anxienty attacks, hyperventalating etc :< also dislike medevil torturists aka dentists :O
don't have above issue, from the past used to cut myself loads using a wet razer ... styptic pencil helped to stop the wee nicks from bleeding. maybe that could be worth looking into? gl

Does the sensor still work, and can you stop the bleeding within a somewhat reasonable time?

I have been on blood thinners for some two years. I use Dexcom G6. I have had bleeding when inserting the last three sensors. I keep pressing the area with cotton wool until the bleeding stops; then insert the transmitter.

Ahh appreciate the help I don’t have the transmitters anymore due to being moved to Dexcom one + I will try applying more pressure the next time I do it

I should have said that, in my case, the bleeding ceases within approximately 15 minutes.

@slocombe498 , your post is littered with numbers. It looks like you are using the DCUK app. The app is in the process of being updated. May I suggest you access the forum through your browser, not the app. Hopefully, your posts will appeared without those numbers.
