Dexcom phone issues?

Does anyone who has a dexcom have phone issues?

I have the freestyle Libre 2 and am getting so sick of the signal loss alarms like so so many of you on here!

I will either get 1 signal loss alarm in the space of a day or literally the following day get 1 or 2 an hour! I am bored having to clear the cache, turning the Bluetooth and location off and restarting my phone (these are what Abbott customer service told me to do).

I turned the signal loss alarm off the other night as it kept going off when I was trying to go to sleep and my sugar went high but the high glucose alarm didn’t go off so woke with a high sugar!

For something which is suppose to make our lives easier, I find it infuriating!

Rant over!

I have the dexcom 6 and don't have phone issues, but I'd want to check my phone was on the dexcom approved list before buying a new one.

Of coiurse, a sample size of 1 is probably not much use to you....

I heard that Abbott was giving some of the people with phone issues readers? Is that an option for you? (I am assuming they will get their software act together soon because they will lose too much business if they don't)

I've used a G6 for several years and have just started using the dexcom G7. Obviously you need to keep your phone nearby to avoid losing the signal. Otherwise I've only occasionally had persistent signal issues, sometimes after updating my phone OS or due to compression depending where I'd positioned the sensor. As @EllieM says, it is critical to check that both your phone model and its OS is on Dexcom's compatibility list.
