I am an insulin dependent diabetic and I have been experiencing high blood pressure just wanted to know if anyone else on here has it

Welcome to the forums. T1 or T2?

High blood pressure is a common condition for diabetics and non diabetics. As a T1, I've had mine monitored regularly and got put on meds when I was in my twenties. Not ideal, but I'm more concerned with my bg levels and the meds hold it steady.

Are you on medication? If not, weight loss (if you're carrying extra weight) or extra exercise may help, but best to consult with your doctor about your levels. Diabetics are at higher risk of heart disease so it's best to keep blood pressure under control.

Good luck.

If you don't have a BP monitor do get one and do tests at home following the right testing approach. Look at the expected range for someone of your age and discuss medication if needed with the GP. Start low if needed.
