Its a interesting read, but doesn't tell us anything we already know. As Glenys Jones says at the end of the article, it is all about moderation. Rather than keeping to the same fruits day after day, it is best to vary your choice and include all, very much the same as veggies, a broad variety will bring about the best health promoting benefits.

As from a diabetes prospective, I eat my fruit as part of my main meals, having a apple, pear or orange for deserts, I find this is the best way to eat fruit without impacting on blood glucose etc.

I tthink most of us already know that fructose, doesn't spike blood sugar. Hence the popularity of berries.
Everyone else seems to forget the veggies in the 5 a day mantra.

Fructose may not spike blood sugar but does lead to raised triglycerides.

If you eat fruit as part of a meal then that is fine but if you consume too much fruit because you think that it is healthy then you will actually put on weight. I am sure that most of us also know that too much of anything will raise our blood sugars.

Fructose CAN cause BG spikes in me! maybe it's the type 1 vs type 2 story but if I don't bolus when eating raspberries for example, I will spike. Banana's are the only thing which have little effect on my numbers.....
