Hello Miko. As others have said, you are young and a new diagnosis of a long term condition with limitations on food choices is a right pain in the butt. You are angry and want to know why me? Join the club.
Ok, just to reassure you, there will be many “scientists” working on the diabetes question, and the reality is there would almost certainly be a Nobel Prize waiting for the person or team that makes a big discovery. The Nobel Prize is like winning the World Cup only better. Your prospects of a significant improvement in the treatment of diabetes in the future is much more likely than it is for us crumblies! Life is not fair, never has been. But better to be diabetic in the land of the NHS than just about anywhere else in the world. Be good to yourself.
