Diabetes - type 1 check up

So had an annual check up this morning all went ok, except had promised my daughter and to keep her quiet for 30 mins, a 'treat' afterwards. So all was going fine until about 20 mins in and she couldn't contain herself any more and started being silly - I reminded her of her treat if she was good and nurse said 'if you eat lots of sweets you'll end up like your mummy'...i'm not even overweight.

Kept quiet, could of exploded but remained calm..
