Hello there and thank you for reading this...
Firstly a bit of background, my sister was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes about 4 years ago during her pregnancy with her first child and has never really come to terms with it and struggles to manage it from time to time. She's a very positive person and we give her all the support we can but obviously we can't understand the full impact it has on her life.
However, one thing I can do to help is to create an app and I've been working on it recently and want it to be a surprise for her which I'm really excited about! I really want it to be the best it can be so need all the help I can get which is where you come in...as I hope you'll all use it too
The app at the moment is basically just a log of blood glucose, carbs, insulin, food, weight, exercise and daily notes. This will then in turn show you a summary of your day, good or bad, and then should export this information into an excel spreadsheet that can be taken along to any clinics etc.
I hope to add an insulin calculator which takes into consideration how much exercise you're doing and food you're eating so that you can take the right amount of insulin. I'm aware that this is more geared towards type 1 and I need to do more research on type 2 so any help here would be good. The calculator is here if anyone wants to see...the calculator would provide a recommendation, not something set in stone.

I have lots of other ideas but it would take me too long to list them! So my questions are :-
*Is there an app you already use and which one is it?
*Is this something you'd use?
*What features would you like to see?
*What would make you use it more?
*Would it be useful to have a barcode scanner which scanned food and told you the carbs in that food?
*How much would you pay for an app?
*Any ideas for names?? What I should or even shouldn't call it!
I've been advised on charging £2.49 for the app it but that seems quite steep. I'm not interested in making a profit on it but anything I make would be re-invested into the app to improve the features and functionality so the more I charge the better the app will be but I also want it to be affordable.
So now it's over to you guys, I'd appreciate ANY responses...good  bad  indifferent
Thanks!
