soaps on telly and people talking about the characters as if they were real.
I find that cookbooks designed for diabetes, tend to include far too much carbohydrate {and low fat] in the recipes. I don't use cookbooks much, because I'm a competent cook and know where the carbs are, but I do have a low carb cookbook. It's called simply, !"The Low Carb Cookbook". ISBN number1-74045-393-X. It's got good looking pictures and recipes full og veggies. Lots of seafood recipes too. Wasted on me since the only seafood I like is plain white fish. Nice looking book though.

Hi Hanadr, I have looked that book up & ordered it. Thank you Justsue for posting, I now have a starting point. :D

Seems from looking on here that low carb is the way to go. This disease is totally overwhelming for us newbies!! My husband has no idea what he can eat & what he can't. :(

Thankfully he's in the healthy zone for weight & he is very fit, & excises daily with his job. His mum was a suffer & in his case it's a genetic thingy.

Hope these recipes are not too fatty, or I will be cooking different meals for each of us! Low fat diet for me, medical reasons. :(
Thank you Hanadr xxx :D
