Sorry for this post but I have been in slow release metformin for 3 years and still suffer the occasional bout of sudden diarrhoea.
I posted yesterday about my blood sugars being crazy high and started my low carb diet and already seeing positive results, before tea my blood sugar was 9 which is a huge improvement. All I have eaten today is a cheese and bacon omelette at lunch 1:30pm and about 6hrs later I had a sudden rush to visit the loo and if I am honest I’t has been the worse it’s ever been.
I am just wondering could the change in diet, reduced intake and low carb have made my stomach unsettle and caused the slow release metformin to act up again.
Secondly does anyone else still suffer from ongoing occasional diarrhoea even when in slow release metformin, now I am trying to get things back under control should I change the metformin?
