Why do health care staff advise us against Diabetic Foods ?
Surely if would not do us any good then would it pass any safety food standard checks for retailers to sell it ?

They are a not good value for money and we can get by off of suitable "normal" food.

I can't understand why well known chemist chains, for example, are allowed to sell sweets and biscuits that are "for diabetics", or labels as "no extra sugar". A type 1 diabetic brought a selection of these items to our suppose group at Xmas. You only have to read the carbohydrate content to realise they should be avoided completely.

Quite wrong then really to cash in on people's potentially life threatening problems.

I have never bought diabetic food purely because of the price and below what I call a average size meal. I do believe it's purely to make money
