Hi @Fin267 and welcome to the forum.
If you are in the U.K. you monitor your blood sugars in mmol/l, if you are in the USA (or you have a meter designed for the USA) your measurement in mg/dl. Neither are percentages.
On the other hand HbA1c is generally measured in mmol/mol now in the U.K. your 60 is this. Some surgeries still favour the percentage as the measurement as used in the USA.

It would be nice if everyone used the same units, my meter is from the US, my libre is from Singapore, my a1c is measured in %. I just plug the numbers into my iPhone and it will convert when changing the units.
I actually have my phone set to mg/dl, and the mySugr app set to mmol. MySugr will generate an approximate A1c value, mine reads in %.

test just before you eat and two hours after.

Hello and welcome,

Your profile indicates that you are only 23. Is that correct? If you you may want to make sure that have correctly ruled out that you may be type 1. I have no expertise at - none but others with some more info will be here soon.

It's great that you've started testing- this is the tool that will help you find out what food your body can tolerate.

First of all here's link that may help:
