How exciting for you
@Hippo17 .
Insulin pumps and the algorithms they use aren't all the same, so there isn't a best pump overall, just different pumps that suit different people. You'll also want to consider what cgm your chosen pump uses and whether you'll like it.
When I was choosing a pump (tslim or minimed) I ended up choosing tslim partly because of the cgm (the minimed
at the time had a bad reputation for its cgm) and partly because I reckoned that my insulin needs might be quite variable, thus making it better to manually set different rates than to allow the system to learn my needs.
I love my tandem but it does take quite a lot of work to set up its various rates of basal insulin and if my bg goes high I have to do some manual correction because the algorithm doesn't cope with the fact that I am more insulin resistant when my bg goes above 10mmol/L . That is also a plus, because I
can do manual corrections.
But if you aren't confident to mess with your own insulin amounts you might prefer an algorithm that does more of the work for you?

Happy to answer any questions about the tslim.
