Diabetics R Us

Oh dear, I am so sorry I upset you. Of course, you are right and I was wrong. This thread is for all diabetics and those with other glucose problems, open to all forum members. I hope you didn't do any damage to your bum when you kicked it, and that you forgive me. :)
Yup, I was right and you were wrong, but I was also tired an whining, and I'm very happy I realised that before I hit 'post reply' so I could add the last part about knowing you didn't mean what I chose to read.
So, nothing to forgive here, and the bum is pretty sturdy so no harm done :)

Phew! :)

@Antje77 If you want to give yourself a kick up the backside first of all plan ahead ,if you try standing on one leg you may be heading for a fall !!!:arghh: :angelic:

Yes, @carty . A real "gee-gee" (! :D) can do this safely but not us two-legged.

@heh probably for the same reason everything else in the dryer gets caught in the corners of the fitted sheet and doesn't get dry -- just because it can. :( I have taken to hanging my sheets on the drying rack to air-dry, $1 less than putting them in the dryer by themselves (flat sheet and fitted sheet). Almost makes me miss the days of two flat sheets, top and bottom, no corner pockets.

Oh I know that problem, so now I wash and dry my fitted sheets separately. :)

Am getting excited!

In the run up to Christmas I was a bit poorly and spent a couple of weeks bedbound which led me to complain bitterly (as usual) about feeling trapped in my bedroom. To cut a long story short my eldest XL son is making a special trip up and staying the weekend to decorate said room! His brothers have almost finished clearing the room of furniture ready to clean, prep and start the stripping in readiness.
I have all the stuff including new curtains and bedding and a little man is coming on friday to show me some carpet samples etc.

Currently I am ensconced in the dining room wondering how on earth I've amassed so many clothes.
I can't wait!

So would I! You have such lovely caring sons What colour scheme have you chosen?

My colour scheme will be 'Safe, old lady, cream'. This needs some explanation.

When I bought this house the bedroom was lilac, plain boring lilac.
I fancied something a little more 'me' and decided on 'French Boudoir'. So off to the shops blah blah shabby chic partnered with rich, deep colours etc.
When it was finished I absolutely loved it but I had to admit that instead of French Boudoir I had in fact ended up with Spanish Brothel. But I did love it!

So it's back to magnolia emulsion, cream wallpaper that has just splashes of gold in it and a light brown carpet. Safe, very safe!

P.S If you would like a description of said room, the colours and fabrics were: deep chocolate faux fur bedspread, cream shagpile carpet, maroon curtains and cushions made of that weave I can never remember the name of (part of the pattern is made up of raised weave whilst the back of the pattern is flat), white shabby chic furniture and antique brass bed. Nick nacks were in gold and dark red.

N.B this is what not to do...

Brocade! It's been driving me nuts.

I'm well thank you. Just work has been so stressful but I shouldn't complain :)

I'm glad I'm retired but there are times when I miss going to work... but then I come back to my senses. ;)
