It’s fairly warm outside although no sun and grey clouds it looks and feels a bit weird

I hope the storm causes no damage anywhere

We were reliably informed this is for dogs....?

@Cumberland ....I think the storm you are experiencing is the remnants of Tropical Storm Helene which originated near Africa and passed near to Cape Verde islands last week....thankfully before we got here....today is predicted to be 31 degrees with a moderate breeze....just perfect....

I think it's really cool they sell treats for dogs there. After all, everyone deserves something good after a beach day!

The weather has been fantastic here. So has the moule spek & cheese.
 
No gardening today, but here is my work in progress so far in the back garden. Considering what a weedy overgrown wilderness it was back in July, I am giving myself a pat on the back.

Thank you @Molly56 I am still waiting for Mr Blue to finish the water feature, which was originally a pond and is currently a sand pit. I may be waiting some time!

Love the stone otter and are those Rudbekia in the border? Gorgeous garden, well done!
 
I'm going to pick up my new kitten tommorow morning at 11. Had a bit of a false start yesterday. My neighbour brought me this beautiful black kitten. Within half an hour it was clear that the poor thing had never been inside a house, had never been petted by humans and had had to fight for it's food.
I made the wise but very painful decision to tell my neighbour this had been a mistake and could they please take it back to the barn where they got it. I hope it will have a lovely life as a barn cat, catching mice and rats.

That left me without a kitten last night, and my friends had been putting up with my blathering about kittens all week, so one of them took quick action and found a kitten on facebook. Not sure if more to help me out or to get rid of my blather, but this time it will be a kitten that's used to dogs and being carried about the house by toddlers .

Getting the wild barn-kitten back in it's transport box was pretty exciting, painful and bloody. Today I've needed about 1.5 times the amount of insulin than I would expect. Do you reckon a small but inflamed scratch on my finger could be enough to do that to my bg? Or mere coincidence and diabetes being an *ss?
Anyway, I don't care because I get to pick up my new kitten tomorrow!

This is the photograph on facebook, looks pretty relaxed to me

Thank you kindly. Yes, it is Rudbekia. One of my favourites. The stone otter was brought at great effort from our last house. I can't even push or drag it along it is so heavy. It will be placed in a better position when the water feature is finished, along with a stone frog that currently sits in the middle of the sand looking sorry for itself. (It lost an eye in the move). The matching duck will also have to find a home.
 
I love Rudbekia too, such a dependably good do-er.
 
Morning all

What a warm night.
We have visitors atm, passing through in their motorhome back to their home in France from visiting family in Hartlepool. We had a lovely catch up last night, food and a few drinkies. We haven't seen them for about 18 months so it was great to spend some time with them.

It looks like it's going to be very stormy up north, hopefully if you are caught up in it it won't be too bad.
