Diabetics R Us

It rained all morning, but brightened up with lots of sunshine this afternoon so I went to Homebase to look at the garden pots. Saw none I liked but came back with another £50's worth of plants. Spent a lovely few hours in the garden, mostly wondering where the heck to put all the newly bought stuff. Note to self - keep away from garden centres.

Steak and all the trimmings tonight. I've already started on the wine.

Normal or not exact same here back door open washing on the line almost dry and I've been sitting under the gazebo with a cold drink, diet Pepsi in case any one wondered.

It certainly is comfortable. Have had a good day watching XL son mow the lawn, cut back the crocosmia and store away the sun canopy ahead of the inbound storm Helene. This watching lark is tiring work.
In case anyone hasn't heard, the storm is due to hit (depending on where you are) late on tonight/tomorrow with high winds. We may be lucky, it may hit Eire more than it hits us but best to be prepared. Stay safe.

It has been gorgeous here, too. Lovely and warm with a warm breeze. I have been gardening again in between sitting on the patio drinking tea and chatting to daughter and son-in-law. Making the most of it before the rain comes tomorrow. Looking at the BBC weather website my area of Lancashire doesn't seem to be affected much by the storm. Winds not that heavy at all. Just rain.

Evening all

I couldn't get on here yesterday or this morning.
We too have had a lovely day but I've been in work :(. The forecast end of Helene is forecast to miss us in the far south east but hope if you get it it's not too bad.

Good morning everyone.

Yesterday morning my youngest and I were chatting about dinner plans and we decided on Lamb Tagine but I favoured a new keto recipe which he cooked and was absolutely gorgeous (alongside green beans and swede mash). The recipe called for red wine and I mentioned leaving it out only because two thirds of the bottle would end up down the drain so he suggested trying it with the meal. Oh my days! It was awful! I knew it was something I may struggle with but it tasted like.... I just can't describe it!
I must remember next time to tell him to buy one of those 'taster' bottles so there is none wasted.
Yuck!

Good morning ladies and gentlemen
Dull and dreich

Looks like the storm headed slightly more easterly than forecast but there's a front behind it that might possibly affect your part of the world tomorrow. Still, it's not cold which is nice.
