Diabetics R Us

It snowed quite heavily during last evening, and must have continued overnight to some extent. It has settled on the gardens, roof tops, cars parked on the road and drives, and the view from our windows of the surrounding hills is gorgeous. We haven't been outside yet, but it looks like it has turned to ice.
I am sure there is a poem in there somewhere !!

I think I may have said it all wrong. There is no problem with my medications, the problem stems from being overdue for a Diabetes review. To force me to make appointments for the review they withheld the prescription. Once made, I was given the script no problem.

A HCA is a Health Care Assistant which (over here) is someone 'qualified' to weigh, measure and mop up.
Reason for hospital admission: I was too ill to attend my review . Ran out of medication after that.!! Is not bureaucracy daft !!

They were crispy and tasty and wonderful and actually tasted like they were deep fried instead of ovened. No idea what chemical tricks they used to achieve that, but it doesn't matter, as I didn't eat them because they are healthy. Too early to say what diabetes thinks of it, only finished them half an hour ago.
I think I'm winning! Three injections so far (optimist says a very sophisticated triple bolus, pessimist says original bolus plus two corrections) and still in the green zone :)

LOL no, I only drink decaf and only in the mornings. I was doing some writing and it was going so well I just lost track of the time. Or it could have been the fluoxetine. I'm still getting used to that. But I honestly think it was the writing. I used to stay up all night writing sometimes. Loved it. :)
That is marvellous! Creation knows no limits of dimension. (and about that, there is no dissension)!!

Morning all

Cold again this morning.
Baby son's 30th birthday today

Have a good day.

H :)

Morning all

Not quite so cold here this morning, but wet outside.
Alan is going to the hospital this morning for a skin cancer check.

Have a good day.

H :)

Alan had a biopsy, they don't think it's cancerous but they will obviously recall him if there is anything nasty. He has a couple of stitches and has to keep the dressing dry for 2 days then see the nurse at our GP surgery to have the stitches out next Friday. The local anaesthetic has worn off but he is now handling the pain with wine

Couldn't choose between 'hug' for stitches and waiting for results and 'winner' for his choice of pain relieve.

Fingers crossed that hubby heals swiftly and that he gets a 'No Further Action Needed' label.
