I don't know that particular brand, but any side effects may be down to what sweetener is used. Some cause laxative or gastric effects especially if eaten in quantity.
Soem schools of thought believe that eating anything sweet flavoured may trigger addiction s and cravings.
As with most food, best you try and test your bg to measure your levels a dn then look out for and monitor any other effects.

I do have 1 or 2 sugar free sweets on a long car journey. Once I had a whole small packet and had wind, bloating and then diarrhoea. Only did that the once!

Before indulging in sugar free sweets look up the Haribo sugar free gummi bears reviews.
I'm afraid I found them hysterically funny - It was just after my run in with Metformin and I laughed until I cried.

I have a sugar free boiled sweet now and then, but only one - the only brand I can tolerate is Ricola & M&S little extra strong mints in a tin, they are tiny like the middles from polos. It’s not the sweetener that affects my bodily functions but the type of sweetener can affect my BG - strangely it only happened with sweets not drinks either sweetener or if I use sweetener in cooking etc
