I think the lasagna and crisp bread were probably worse for you than the biscuits, believe it or not. Then again, if you're using Carbs & Cals, you're probably already aware. And there's more carbs in Heineken 0.0 than in their regular beer. (About 12 grams per bottle). Better to use full fat milk rather than skimmed, too. Could be you consume more carbs than you think, maybe? Fluctuating blood sugars can certainly cause fatigue and sleepiness, maybe experiment with, say 70 grams of carbs or less for a week, see whether that makes a difference?@Resurgam
Thanks for your reply.
Ill try and take the readings today both post and pre meals to see what the difference is
I am monitoring my Carbs and Calories and am trying to keep under 100grams of carbs in the MyFitnessPal app,

If you abandon the high starch foods then you can have a whole lot of different things to eat instead if you pick low carb options.
Well, if you eat out of boredom, try getting some low to no carb things to snack on. Cheese, olives, pork scratchings, boiled/deviled eggs, extra dark chocolate... You could google keto fat bombs and knock yourself out with those, plenty of variety if you don't mind some time in the kitchen. (They freeze just fine, usually). And you could just get double cream instead of milk, does excellent in coffee too.Hi JoKalsbeek,
Thanks for your reply, i am trying to get down a lot on my carbs, and trying to resist temptations with boredom after work... I will get some full fat milk when our 4 pints have gone
Today my measurements go from 5.0 to 7.7 mmol/l and didnt realise id fallen asleep around 4pm.. with 90 grams of carbs today and working towards your recommendation of 70 grams.
