Welcome to the forum. You have arrived here much quicker than most of us so you have a great opportunity to get control before you start on any meds.

Members have a great deal of experience of this condition and in my view know much more than many of the medical profession that looks after them. Keep asking questions and you will learn so much.

Hiya emzy40

I was diagnosed 3 wks ago and as I have said on here I did carry on doing my normal thing for a couple of weeks-eating everything and more cos I knew this was gonna have to change (one day I ate 2 sausage rolls and 2 Belgium buns for lunch and looked round for more). Now taking it seriously and still getting it wrong but the advise on here is fab and I am learning everyday.

Welcome and good luck!

Welcome to the forum

Sorry to hear about your diagnosis but believe me it is not the end of the world, even if it feels like it at the moment.

Daisy will no doubt soon come along with some very useful basic information for you.

Any question just ask

Diagnosed this morning with type 2. Unsure how I feel but guess its here to stay so I got to get my head round it all.

That's the spirit! If you have any symptoms such as tiredness, thirst etc, these will clear up in no time now that you have a diagnosis and can get a handle on it. All the best :)
