Mainly because he refutes much of the mantra which is spouted on the intrawebs by people trying to sell you stuff. He does this by referring to actual science, and peer review studies and meta-analysis of multiple studies. His background is in biochemistry as an undergraduate, and PhD in nutrition in his postgraduate. To his credit, he looks at both sides of the story and is happy to change his mind when new sciences proves otherwise. He has his own. YouTube channel too if you want to have a look. The only thing he "sells" is online coaching, and a dieting app which supports and helps follow whatever eating methodology you want.
