Diet Coke. . .

I have cut way back but still drink it. The jury is still out on this one. Some reports say it raises insulin levels which increases insulin resistance, some say it causes sugar cravings. I don't find it causes cravings but my insulin is very high and hoping to get it down to human levels. I don't drink coffee and rarely tea and sometimes you just get sick of water.
 
At the end of the day it's empty calories and non nutritional. Drink fizzy water with a slice of lemon instead!
 
It is not empty calories because it has NO calories. That is the point of it o_O
 
There's also coke zero but alongside diet coke sugar substitutes like aspartame, and I certainly wouldn't want to be consuming that!

If you're just starting out I would try to avoid it. It will just fuel your desire for sweet things which you are trying to not eat any more. There are also some schools of thought that say the sweet taste will cause an insulin response even without there being carbs there and that is what you are trying to avoid. After a year of low carbing even regular milk tastes sweet to me so I guess a diet coke would be like liquid sugar even though there isn't any. Not that I wish to try it...
 
I drink it but there seem to be a lot of widespread doubt also among scientists if it is in fact as safe as earlier told to public...

is seems some of the artificial sweeteners maybe even contribute to creating diabetes in our bodies.. if so that what more damage can they possibly be doing too... ?

but admit I drink some pepsi max actually a lot the last two weeks..

I drink it with my lunch and dinner - I don't have a sweet tooth so doesn't really trigger cravings for me, but can understand it may do for others if you get sweet cravings, I enjoy a glass of diet tonic now and then too
 
I Wonder it sparkling Water witout any sugar and also witout any artificial sugar is equally harmful or if it is indeed the sugar and artificial sugars or also the gas assed that is harmful...

I think this statistic is not really scientific if is can not tell anything more precisely
