Hi I have recently read that diet coke puts weight on u and doesn't help when trying to lose weight can anybody clarify please x

There is a view that foods/drinks with artificial sweeteners maintain the brain's need for sweet products so you may end up still having sugary foods. My understanding is that the diet drinks are zero calorie and don't in themselves contribute to weight gain
