Went to bed on 4.6 and FBG this morning was 5.9. Surely my liver has got to run out of stored glycogen soon??
I've found that what I have for dinner and any evening snacks affect my FBG - which is depressing but hopefully my liver 's glycogen reserves will empty soon. I'm finding that protein at dinner is also affecting my FBG.
That menu is gorgeous! I think I'd have the duck. Let us know what you chose to have.
Wonder what they do to the grapes to make them aniseed?Between the roulade and the sea bream (without the aniseed grapes - yuk!)
Cheeseboard for pudding (£9 for choice of two cheeses, £12 for choice of three!) and olives to start

Sounds delicious - but expensive (especially the cheese board).
I would suspect soak them in pernod or they may use a little sambuca.I

I'd agree with that. I knew my BG'S came down with exercise but pre Libre I didn't appreciate they went on falling for 2 hours after. In fact they go into quite a nosedive.I bet the difference is just the amount of exercise you were taking back then.
I mean, you were dog walking a lot, weren't you? And that probably means you were burning glucose in your muscles, and you had more muscle too.
We get a lot of posts from people saying how easy glucose control is for them, and then it turns out they are gym bunnies, or runners. Which is great, and a FANTASTIC way to control diabetes, but then some injury or illness happens, and their control goes West, and they need to discover how to do it by diet or drugs - and hopefully get back to exercising asap. But as you know, that isn't always a possibility!
Or a cheese fest.....although probably not enough for a cheese fest. So, basically, much of yesterday for you was a cheese fast.
One of the reasons I chose 11st was because I didn't think the amount of protein recommended for 10st was enough for me on an everyday basis. On the great day I get to 11st I might re-evaluate but I think feeling deprived is a guaranteed way of making me give in to temptation.
Interesting this morning, we had a delayed breakfast so I did what you do @maglil55 I tested for FBG (5.3) then an hour later tested as Mr C was dishing up breakfast - 6.7!!!! If I had done what I normally do - only test FBG - I wouldn't have known about that 6.7. It's a shame that I won't be testing at the 2hr PP time but I don't like doing it in public.

Isn't it a gorgeous afternoon? After a lot of retail therapy we came home and SUNBATHED while having a naughty G 'n' T. Fabulous. And now Mr C's going to BBQ the chicken we were going to have baked for dinner.
Even better - last year's shorts and little tops actually still fit! A miracle!!!
Now.... didn't I read somewhere that Prosecco doesn't have any protein and is low in carbs (but we'll ignore the calorie bit).
I had a 'funny turn' in M&S outlet this morning. Standing at the till and the world kind of slipped sideways - apparently I went very white and next thing I know I'm sitting on a chair with a glass of water with people clucking over me and someone threatening to call an ambulance. I am getting very bored with getting things wrong with me while I'm out shopping. It possibly was due to the caffeine in the coffee this morning.
Yes. Maybe Freema uses a translation thingy when she's posting.
It was indeed a glorious afternoon. Had you drunk enough water? I always find if I feel off it is usually due to hydration especially on a hot day. Alternative is blood pressure. Much as you don't like Doctor have you had a blood panel recently?Isn't it a gorgeous afternoon? After a lot of retail therapy we came home and SUNBATHED while having a naughty G 'n' T. Fabulous.
