I can relate to that. I always gutted everything before the house went on the market and depersonalised by packing and moving the boxes to my Mum & Dad's. Unlike son the boxes always came with me on moving day! Current house is where I want to stay put. We've been here 29 years and It's taken that time to knock it into shape. We bought this house on location and the house was OK but I made sure we got the biggest plot so we could extend it to what we wanted. Crazý - the extension cost more than the house and the interior is totally different to what I thought I wanted thanks to an imaginative architect. It has probably taken me since the build to reorganise again as my accident was mid build and we made the mistake of staying in the house during the build. Last major works was converting the upstairs bathroom and refitting our bedroom. Now thankfully all major work is done.I've always found the best way to sort out a house is by moving. Last time I moved house it took three large skips and several tip runs to get rid of the clutter from house, shed, garage, loft, etc. Unfortunately (or, fortunately, depending on how you look at it) I've lived in this house for 16 years and I haven't got a clue whats up in the loft - and the garage and shed are like black hole event horizons - everything that gets near to them gets sucked in, never to be seen again (both the garage and shed are Mr C's man caves).
Maybe I ought to place Jack near to the shed so he can get sucked in. You ought to see what he's done to my favourite and most precious handbag ....I only left it on the stairs for a moment.
Did Jack look suitably remorseful?
https://www.gumtree.com/p/fashion-d...such-hermes-chanel-gucci-in-london/1245223704Not a chance - one 1950s vintage Gucci handbag with a chewed corner! (No, I didn't buy it - it was a present 30 odd years ago when I left a job and it was vintage then.) I just looked it up and there is one like it on eBay for £420 - I've just sent a link to Mr C as Jack is technically his dog.
Jack IS looking mournful though because he's had a bit of an upset tum so he hasn't had any food today. Trouble is you can't explain that you're starving them for their own good. He keeps placing himself so he can stare me straight in the eyes - almost like he's trying to transmit 'I'M HUNGRY' telepathically.

Honestly - men! How's the finger now?Mr Chook is looking in to whether I can claim off our household insurance.
Isn't it wonderful now its so much cooler - my BG has dropped to quite low numbers today - so I think it was the heat that was making it go up.
I accidentally stabbed myself in the bottom third of my left forefinger yesterday - it hurt like hell and I bled everywhere all over my newly cleaned pale grey and white. Mr C's comment was 'You should be used to stabbing yourself, you do it so many times each day'. No sympathy at all!!!!This morning its swollen up and is bruised from the top joint of the finger down to half way across the palm of my hand (making it very difficult to type). On the plus side, my BG didn't react at all - which makes a change!
Keep us posted xxJust on and off drizzling today here.
I am sitting in the waiting area of the local hospital!! This morning I had an appointment with the Podiatry Department (which is in a little health centre several miles away) - I have this weird mark on my foot which looks exactly like someone has stubbed out a cigarette on it. It turned up about a year ago - just appeared one day - and hasn't got any worse or better. Just sometimes changes colour depending on whether I'm hot or cold. So, as it didn't hurt / itch / get bigger or anything else I didn't worry about it.
Then I had my annual diabetes review a few months ago and in passing (when the DN was testing my feet) asked if she knew what it was - she didn't and said she would refer me to the Podiatry Department - and that appointment is how this morning started out. I don't know what I expected.... I definitely didn't expect for the Podiatrist to call in her boss, who, in turn, called in someone else and they all stood there looking at this mark on my foot in consternation. What was funny was when they asked me what I thought it was.... how should I know??? So Podiatrist No. 3 said he thought I should be referred to the Dermatology Dept at the hospital - so I started to get my stuff together - thinking an appointment would come through for a month or two's time - but, no, they wanted me to go to the hospital today.
Now, Podiatrist No. 1 had done all the usual tests and asked all the usual diabetes related questions so we were all aware that I have no PN and my feet were rated as 'well maintained'. So why all the rush????? Right at this moment I have absolutely no idea but I'll post again once I've seen the Dermatologist. D'oh!!!!! I had SO much I needed to get on with today....
So how long do you have to wait to find out what it is? My sister has been having dreadful problems with her feet but having seen a dermatologist they were treating the wrong thing so it is finally clearing up.Back home now with a tiny hole in my foot. What a waste of a day.
