Have you seen your Doc about this, and did he have a bit of a feel around your gallbladder? I'm suggesting you have gallbladder issues, but it is around where you describe your discomfort and nausea can be a symptom for gallbladder issues.
Thanks for all the info. I don't have all the symptoms of GP but I have the nausea, sick, uncomfortable stomach. The top part of my stomach just under my ribs is very delicate, if I have my arms folded it starts to make me feel sick, I can't bear tight clothes around my stomach. I'm not in any pain. I don't eat very well at the best of times and this is making it so much worse as I'm so scared of being sick. At work on Monday approx 2 1/2 hours of my breakfast of shreddies, I threw up at work which was absolutely mortifying as I didn't have time to get to a toilet. What treatment are people on? I'm on anti sickness tablets but they don't seem to work.
I gastroscopy isnt good enough to test for GP.
It has to be stomach emptying timed test....
It can give some detail but not all the detail for your symptoms.
I really recommend that you look at gastro intestinal failure uk (gift uk) -closed group on FB. Lots of different people with different experiences, different meds etc, different foods to try.
GP is basically down to Vagus Neeve damage and these people have vast experiences.....
Thanks so much for all your info. I can only go by my Dr I don't think I can demand to have tests done, he also mentioned a CT scan but I haven't had anything through for that. I think they are doing one test at a time. Obviously if nothing shows up with this gastroscopy next wed I will be back at the Drs. I don't have much faith in Drs/hospital A few years ago I had chronic hip pain, I was first told it was a trapped nerve by my Dr I must have gone around every dept at the hospital who said it was referred back pain and me arguing that it was coming from my hip only to be diagnosed almost 2 1/2 years later that I needed a hip replacement, my hip was just bone on bone by that time. No amount of painkillers ever helped, I tried everything from paracetamol upto methadone!
