You asked for help so reluctantly I'm going to give you help. I'm reluctant because I get sick and tired of givng people the help they need when they prefer the pseudo science of diabetes dieting and to believe the mantras of the doctors and nurses who simply preach the lies of the pharmaceutical companies.

First: Type 2 diabetes is not a disease it is a symptom. Most Western medicine works on the basis of treating the symtom rather than the cause. In the case of type 2 diabetes treatment practice is to exacerbate the cause and profit from the result by the selling of consultations (the NHS costs you) and the selling of symptom treating drugs.

Second: The only cause of type 2 diabetes are certain "trans-fatty acids" found in vegetable oils like rapeseed oil and sunflower oil etc. When you get to see a dietician or nurse they will most likely try to get your husband to concentrate on eating these poisons. This way he will get worse.

Third: The trans fat angle is not some weirdo dreamed-up opinion it is the result of my investigations into many years of scientific research on the subject. You can find out more about the large body of peer reviewed scientific literature on tfx.org.uk. The first cases of type 2 diabetes occured in the USA during the 1930s. I myself am used to investigating the scientific literature, I have four degrees including a doctorate. Please note that I am not allowed to call myself "Dr" on this site only the "Non-Doctors" behind diabetes are allowed to use this title. They are also the only ones allowed to use the word "cure" which they do in relation to junk science treatments we find periodically published on this site (like the 600 calory a day diet recently a subject for discussion).

Fourth: The most important dietary change you can make in relation to diabetes is to remove trans-fats from your husbands diets and replace them with natural cis-isomer form oils. This is in line with the BMA and NICE recommendations on trans fats and the scientific literature.

Wow, have you told the General Medical Council about this revelation as scientists have been searching for the answer to this for years, they will be so pleased to speak with you.

You will probably get the Nobel Prize for Medicine for this

Obviously the Americans were healthier than the French!
Bourchadat , a nineteeth century Parisian doctor instituted diet and exercise + testing the urine for glucose as a treatment for diabetes. He was quite clear that this didn't work with the young child or thinner older patient.
His compatriot Étienne Lancereaux formally distinguished between the 2 types in the 1870s,( le diabete maigre et le diabete gras) Somehow I doubt if they were eating any rapeseed or sunflower oil and in Paris at that time, probably very little olive oil either.

I think the Nobel Proze is unlikely for me at any rate as the answer to what causes diabetes is well established in the scientific literature and has been since the 1950s. At the risk of repeating myself check out tfx.org.uk. The quacks of course do not want to know. Telling the GMC what causes diabetes would be like telling Ali Baba and the Forty Theives that there is a pick pocket in town!

My research on type 2 has paid great dividends and after applying the results of this research I have found my blood glucose has fallen from greater than 25mmol/l (treated with large quantities of insulin) three years ago to 7mmol/l untreated today. In other words there has been a drop in my excess blood glucose of greater than 90% even when not treated! This is an absolutely excellent result and if I get a further small reduction I will have normal blood glucose. At the same time I can eat and drink what the h*ll I like and have a normal BMI after years of gross obesity eating very very little.

I'm just popping out now to buy a few beers to go with my roast dinner. Enjoy your laughter while you can, the living death of advanced diabetes will in due course consume your life.

You have to realise that this is deception. The attribution of diabetes to fat and thin people (gras et maigre) can in no way be taken as a discrimination between two different types of diabetes. Even today it can take weeks to get a diagnosis. When the first cases of diabetes were discovered in the 1930s the experts were certainly unaware of this new disease as they proceeded to kill many of them with injections of insulin. If diabetes 2 had been around in the 1920s they would have been killing them even earlier.

Wiki stories should be treated with scepticism.

These physicians may not have understood the aetiology of the disorders but they certainly recognised the two manifestations and their work certainly demonstrates the existance of T2 before the 1930s.
Bourchadat, was able to treat some of his patients with diet and exercise . It is said that he noticed noted the disappearance of glycosuria in diabetics when food was scarce during
the Siege of Paris, and applied that observation to the management of his patients These were clearly people who had what we now call T2 as they survived.there were still patients that grew thinner and died. His descriptions of diabetes and it's treatment with diet and exercise are to be found in

The two terms maigre and gras are still (regretably) used in some French articles today. A hundred and twenty years on we may know a bit more about T2 but there's no doubt in my mind that Lancereaux was forming a basic distinction between the types .

Thats great. My research on T2 has paid even better dividends though reducing my bg from 29 mmol/L at diagnosis and taking 44units of insulin a day and an HbA1c of 12.9% to my constant reduced A1c in the 5% for the last 2 years plus and I came off insulin completely after 12 months so do you still want to play topper :lol:

Oh and for the record my T2 diabetes was caused by long term steroid use taken to keep my airways open after being diagnosed with lung disease or perhaps you want to argue about that too, your comment that "The only cause of type 2 diabetes are certain "trans-fatty acids" " is wrong and so are you, if you have irrefutable scientific proof then lets see it but dont bother posting links to stupid crank and quack theories, I have better things to do with my time. I actually find your comments about the "only cause of diabetes" laughable.
