Hi
Just wondering how many here also live with other conditions that require a modified diet?
I'm sticking to a interstitial cystitis diet which means I have low acid foods. But so far that means I can't eat a lot of what I used to eat to manage my diabetes very well. I don't eat processed or smoked meats/fish, citrus, tomatoes, vinegars, most dressings, soy, most beverages, artificial sweeteners, most fruit, some veggies, chillies, etc. So I've had to adjust my meals and all that. On top of that I have a number of GI issues so textures of food can cause me a lot of pain. The last time I ate a steak when i was out I was in pain for days. So I tend to make sure meat is tender or it is minced so I can eat it.
But what I'm saying here is that it is quite hard trying to manage BGL's and manage the other symptoms I get. I find I can't seem to keep everything happy. Are there others here experiencing the same or something similar?
