diet

I have to agree with the other posters I'm afraid. You really need to discuss your diet options with a specialist dietician.
Hopefully they can address all your needs and tailor a diet to suit you.

I have been trying this for the past few years but failing ,ok people thank you all for your help I guess im back where I started a few years ago consultants only keep sending me around in circles .

my dietry advise from specialists was to eat low cal ,low fat , i wsnt controlling bgs so i tried lchf ,it controlled bgs somewhat but not enough ,that ended up getting me in a right mess ,where i am now .so i guess its back to consultnats again ,

The problem is we know nothing about liver disease, so we could try to improve that aspect, and make other things worse.
Do you have any guidance on what you should be eating, or any medical advice so far?

i do yes ,but it doesn't control weight or bgs that's my problem . not to worry i will return to consultants douglas ,thank you for trying

let douglas have his say please ,im interested in what advice he can give me
No problem so long as he don't keep misinterpreting me and biting my head off. I am a patient too, you know. It has been a lot of misinterpreting and head-biting in several threads since I joined. I think Douglases aim is to get me to leave the forum. We shall see about that.

If Douglas will give me a chance I also want to do what I can to help you. That is what a forum is for.

I have created a special thread for Douglas to tell us all what problems he has with eating fat, as he sure as hell hasn't been able to verbalise it in all the spit he has thrown over my input in different threads. Do not worry, I try to ignore him mostly. I don't interfere with his advice, he often gives good advice. It is when I or anybody else says you should eat fat he reacts. I have now created a thread for him to tell us all about his views on fat, so I hope things might cool down.

There is another Gi/GL list here

http://www.health.harvard.edu/newsweek/Glycemic_index_and_glycemic_load_for_100_foods.htm

You can't use it to replace any medical advice given to you, but possibly it would give you a guide to the GL of food you should be eating for other conditions, and then prepare some questions for the next time you see them to discuss your proposed diet regime.
As to weight control, I only ever found if I eat less calories than I use, I lost weight, so portion control, or calorie counting worked for me.

I think the op's old enough to decide?
If he's as sure as you are he'll be fine, I'm sure he can choose to ignore it.
