Not sure if this is diabetes related or not but i have been feeling quite dizzy and unsteady lately. I have been to see my GP about this a few weeks ago and she gave me nasal spray and some tablets but they haven't worked and now i'm getting quite worried about it. I've made an appointment to see her tomorrow but wondered what could be causing this feeling?

When you experience your dizziness, how are your sugars? Have you eaten enough? Maybe worth asking your doc if you have BPPV. a type of vertigo, which is caused by crystals forming in the ear canal. Easily diagosed & treated. Hope doc appt gets you sorted out huni

i don't think it's to do with eating but i haven't tested my BS levels today yet as i left my monitor and sticks at home. I did go and see the opticians a couple of months ago about this as i was worried it was my eyesight or anything underlying which was serious like a tumour but she said that they would know if it was something like a tumour and i was Ok with that so not sure at all whether it could be an inner ear problem or vertigo etc but i will be going to the GP tomorrow and see what they suggest. Thanks

I developed the exact same problem just before a planned holiday to Portugal at the end of March. We had to cancel and the doc gave me betahistine tablets which I've now been taking for a month. A few months back I had a flu type virus which turned into a chest infection and its suspected that the same virus caused the vertigo/labyrinth symptoms. I'm hoping and praying I'm well enough to go away in 4 weeks on our replacement holiday.
