It seems like a fashion thing to drink bottled water and im sure there are a lot of unscrupulous companies that simply fill bottles with tap water. I used to buy bottled water but now have started drinking tap water again. I sometimes leave a bottle to chill in the fridge and it seems ok.

If you don't drink tap water can you say why not?

Always drink tap water, even in restaurants I will ask for tap water - my gran used to call it council pop :)

Yes I drink tap water , sometimes put a bit of juice in it.....keep two large bottles of tap water in the fridge, the labels don't tell you it is tap water though ;)

Not here, but I have no hesitation in the UK
(our system has inputs from both normal water company water and water from a local untreated artesian well.(saves on the bills) In theory the water in the kitchen tap comes from the water company but I can't be certain that they aren't cross contaminated)

Always from the tap, but it's nice and fresh tasting up here in Scotland. I didn't like it when I lived in London

But look at the filtration it gets in London!:)
HOW MANY sets of kidneys:***::spitoutdummy:

Water in a plastic bottle, just think what happens when the bottles are left out side in the sunlight prior to purchase or even in the car etc; Also where do these waters come from "spring"or "mineral" yet still through some taps.
My daft question would be ? why do we use tap water to make tea, coffee and cooking etc; yet only drink cold water from a plastic bottle.:):)

I think people are absolutely crazy to buy bottled water! I don't really like water but when I do drink it, it tastes ok to me!!

Buy bottled water when out and about in the summer and when on long car journeys, other than that it's just good old tap water. Nearly always add a splash of Robinson's No Added Sugar, the Orange & Mango flavour is my fav at the moment.

Tap water's always been fine with me - for the 60 years I've been on the planet, that is, and the 4 regions of England I've lived in.

Has anyone tried 'pure' water, I mean really pure water with nothing in it (aka distilled). I promise you it tastes horrible. Sure, the hardness (or lack of it of it) makes some tap waters less palatable to some, and I do like carbonated water, but I've never understood the craze for plain bottled water - volcanolalologised o_O or not - apart from it was once considered 'chique'.

Another issue is sustainability - the sight of lorries thundering south down the M1 loaded only with bottles of water, can't be right in this day-and-age, can it? I don't agree with flying in out-of-season string beans from east Africa or asparagus from Chile (can they really not wait a few months for the northern hemisphere crops to come to harvest?), but at least they are sometimes throwing a lifeline to the producers (not always, I accept) and can claim to be providing something that isn't, at the time, available locally.

Rant over .....

Yes it is quite nice, not to keen on the Summer Fruit one, the No Added Sugar Barley Water they is really nice too :)

Yes I drink either tap water or sparkling mineral water if I fancy a fizzy drink

I find drinking bottled water better than my tap water as well it has a rather odd taste rather like disinfectant and some days it looks rather like milk. Last week the ball **** broke and I had to replace it, on looking in the storage tank I found a white coating, I know we do not drink from the hot tank but well the inlet is the same water, I live in a hard water area but one wonders what our water does to our innards, I pay for bottled water in future.
