Do you imagine what other forum members look like?

When I'm on a forum or regularly speak to someone on the phone that I never meet, I frequently imagine what they look like.

Although when I do see or meet that person, they never look like I imagined. When I clicked on Stephen - borofergie's Linkedin profile, yup, again he didn't look like I'd imagined.

I'm not saying that we should post our photos on here or have to use our real names as I like to stay a bit ingognito (I have an unusual surname) and Google my name to find out where I am appearing on the internet.

Does anyone else imagine what other forum members look like ?

Yikes! Sorry to disappoint.

I'm fairly sure that Grazer looks like a sheep in real life...

Stephen - wasn't disappointed, just not quite as I imagined. After seeing your photo, I can see why you chose your avatar.

At work a few years ago, I used to speak on the phone to a Welsh lady called Gaynor. I imagined she was tall, dark haired and willowy. When I met her, she was short, fair haired and dumpy .... I was so wrong ...

Yup, imagining Grazer as a sheep ....

Yep, a big fluffy white one ...
Patch always seemed to me to be a sad white-faced clown but most people I sometimes don't even think of their gender, let alone what they look like.

I think it's an age thing , my children are quite happy to put all sorts of picture on face book.
This is the nearest my blog has to a photo of me.

Here you go then. Me and my wife on our boat in Spain (bit of showing off too!) Taken about 10 years ago so I'm a bit more sheep-like now. Sorry it's that old; I had to go back that far to find a half-decent one!

I'm starting to suspect that Malc (Grazer) looks too healthy to be a T2 diabetic! Must be something to do with the love of a beautiful woman.

So much for all T2s being obese!

I never really give it much thought what people look like on the forum and don't read much into their usernames either! :?

Well I have nothing to hide, in fact this thread could get interesting :D

Yeah, I always wonder what people look like and put my own face to them. (Not my face, lol)

It's the same when you're listening to people on the radio. You get to know the voice so well you start imagining what they look like, but you're right, they're never the same.
I can't post mine from my old phone. I couldn't even upload my own Avatar.
