Do you wear your pump while playing a contact sport?

Hello
I'm on a Medtronic 780 hybrid closed loop with the Guardian 4 and I've just started playing walking football again. I'm trying to figure out the best way to manage my diabetes while playing while not damaging the pump. So far I've suspended and removed the pump and it worked well but it meant not having the pump on for over an hour which isn't ideal.

I looked to see if there were any pump protectors I could get but couldn't find any and Medtronic had nothing they could offer.

What do you do when you're playing a contact sport?

Thanks

Although I’m not involved in contact sports you might want to consider a silicone skin which I use all the time.
The Medtronic eshop still shows it for the 640g/670g (might be why Medtronic didn’t identify it!), but it fits the M780 perfectly. It clings to inside pockets/clothing and is very comfortable to wear and handle.

If you are doing anything where there is risk of damage to the pump it may just be a good idea to get pump specific insurance which will ensure fast replacement if you do break the pump

Not contact sport but when snorkling I take my pump off, can be hour or more. But with Dexcom G7 my watch links to the sensor so can monitor BG’s.

I do not do contact sport but exercise a lot.
What I do with my pump depends upon the impact the sport has upon my BG. For example, a Spin classes causes my BG to plummet whereas climbing causes it to go high so, when I had a tubed pump, I was happy to remove it for Spin but not for climbing. I now have a patch pump which cannot be removed.
I know of a rugby player with an Omnipod who found it was unaffected if she wore it on the top of her bottom whilst playing.
