heights freak me out. My teen and I went up Spinnaker tower in Portsmouth. On one level there was a glass bottom, which you could walk across, the drop was so deep. I was petrified, but so wanted to do it. In the end, I plucked up the courage and held my teens hand while I walked quickly across. My heart feels as though it's going faster just by writing about it :nailbiting: :oops:
 
Dear me - this would completely freak me out .
With these dizzy heights .

I can't even go up Blackpool Tower !!!

You're far better travelled than I am

Years ago when my great grandfather was alive he told me how he went on one of the airships which used to cross the Atlantic

Admittedly they were only a few thousand feet up (high enough, obviously :) ) but he flew in one once and the bar area had a glass floor section. He said it was amazing to enjoy your drink and see the occasional ship way down below your feet
 
I've just cone back to UK after 6 months in Dubai so at an advantage with these pics, wouldn't have known if there were in another country! Some amazing sights but there are far more beautiful things go see in good old Blighty :-)
