Does anyone here take Forxiga or has taken it previously? Are the side effects common/troublesome?

Yes, currently on Forixga, no side effects that I can think of - been on it 2 months. Pretty sure it’s not working for me, Pharmacist called me as they do with new meds, I asked how long it took to take effect and I was told it would be immediate. I told her I was taking it in the morning after waking then it would be an hour or 2 before I had my breakfast and she warned that It could drop my BS too much in that time so to make sure I took it nearer to having food. I carried on as I have, because for me it has no effect. For example on waking this morning my BS was 7.9 and about 1.5 hrs later when I go to inject my insulin before breakfast my BS is 10. There has been a rise between the two readings since taking it. Get another A1c in a month so only when the numbers are bad will the DN / Doc listen to me.

Hi i have been taking it for about 2 years or more and it works for me, my overall HBA1C has droped from 76 to 65, only one side effect going to the toilet more.

Thanks for the advice, I am 13 years into this journey, I am on low carb, but having a ‘fight‘ with the GP and DN at the moment over the insulin as the one I have to take so much of it to get good numbers caused weight gain, wanted to change so I had more control over the spikes but they wanted to try this for 3 months first before I can do this, so have cut right back on insulin doses and lost 13kg since April, but this tablet has no effect on my numbers in terms of reducing it ‍♀️

Thanks guys! My latest hba1c was 46 so it's not really to improve control so much but I am stuck at my current weight which I am not happy with and know this can help some to lose weight by reducing insulin dosage.

Reducing carbs without medical monitoring can be dangerous if they are taking any medication that affects their glucose levels.
