Does diabetes makes any effects on weight?

Here I have one question on the weight during the diabetes..any one have any experience diabetes make your weight low..
mostly I see every one looks some fats who have this disease. Anyhow need your suggestions..

your English makes it hard to understand exactly what you are asking!

in short, it varies, many Type ones are slim/underweight on diagnoses, as are some type twos

many type 2s, are overweight, as the chance of getting T2 increases if you are overweight,

before starting on insulin I was losing about 2kg per month, since starting insulin have regained about 2kg per month despite cutting food intake by half.

Hi. If you are a Late onset Type 1 (LADA or Type 1.5) then you may show sudden weight loss shortly before diagnosis. This is because the pancreas isn't producing enough insulin and hence any carbs eaten don't get converted from glucose to energy. If this is prolonged then the body starts burning stored fat to get energy from somewhere hence the weight loss. I had weight loss prior to diagnosis and suspect that I'm a very Late onset Type 1 but that's my guess.
