This is probably a really stupid question...

Google tells me that Erythritol does not raise blood sugar. How can that be when the nutrition into is showing 100g of carb per 100g of Erythritol... So the same as sugar??

Am I missing something here lol

TIA

Apparently the body can not metabolize erythritol so it has no effect on blood sugar or insulin levels.

I use erythritol and erythritol/stevia blends regularly and can confirm that they've never caused any issues with my glucose levels.

This isn't the best Snip, but it is informative. From the Sainsbury's website, relating to Pure Via 100% Erythritol. You will note it states 6gr Carb, per 100gr, but then breaks it down to 6gr polyols. Polyols are indigestible, so for most people are benign on sugar levels. There are exceptions to every rule.
Secondly, this is 6gr per 100gr. The whole package is 250gr, so a LOT of teaspoons in 100gr
