does food taste different after taking metformin

is it me or does food taste different, once taking metformin ?

It did for me when I first started taking it, strange aftertaste, but that only lasted for a couple of weeks then it was fine

Yes, it often does. I had the fairly common metallic taste which for me lasted 6 months! It does go away eventually.
